prismstumbler - wireless LAN (WLAN) discovery tool

prismstumbler [-dhioqSw]

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the prismstumbler command.

prismstumbler is a wireless LAN discovery tool which scans for beaconframes from accesspoints. It operates by constantly switching channels and monitors any frames received on the currently selected channel. prismstumbler is designed to find as much information about wireless LAN installations as possible. It comes with a GTK2 user interface and uses an embedded SQL database to store network information. It is able to create networks lists in GPSdrive format and store captured packages to pcap dump files.

OPTIONS

-S: Channel - Only listen on a specific Channel (1-14)
-w: FileName - Create (and update) Gpsdrive Waypointfile
-d: Database only mode (scanner inactive)
-o: Use orinoco driver interface
-h: Use hostap driver interface
-i: Interface - Use designated interface
-q: Quiet mode, no output to stdout
